What a fun thing to discover a new hobby that not only brings joy to your own heart, but to those you share it with. One young new sewist let me know after two classes that she finished her sewing homework and was on her way to the fabric store to pick up more fabric to start another. She thinks she is addicted. You could not wipe the smile from my face and hers!
It is a proven fact that working with your hands brings solace and calm to your nervous system. Your heart rate goes down and you begin to forget your troubles even for a little while. Add a bit of giggling to that and you have a recipe for a successful time of learning and growing and finding a new adventure to explore.
