"Each stitch connects the past and present. Every class is a chance to build confidence, tell a story, and make something beautiful together."
After 35 years of teaching and a career in office management, HR, and bookkeeping, I'm pursuing my passion full-time — blending art and skill to share the joy of sewing with anyone ready to try.
Sewfunn Dandelion Lessons is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating community through meaningful conversation and creative therapy. We nurture skills, confidence, and hope, one stitch at a time.
Dandelions are humble, resilient, and surprisingly useful. They show up where you don't expect them and bring color to overlooked places. That's how I think about teaching sewing — meeting people wherever they are, with whatever they bring, and helping them grow into something beautiful.
Every class I teach is rooted in patience, humor, and the belief that anyone can learn to sew. There are no perfect students here — just people willing to show up and try.
A selection of quilts, projects and tom foolery over the years. Each with their own story of humor, joy, artistic expression and life journey.
